Everglades challenge 2008

The Race - and Awards Ceremony

Bill Fite and I raced so hard Saturday - Sunday and Monday that we don't really have too many photos from that part of the race.

Here are some short videos that have been uploaded to U-Tube.

1. Sailing South on Day one.

2. Beating toward Flamingo on Monday.

3. Drying out at Flamingo on Monday afternoon.

4. MoonShadow beating toward the Dump Keys Channel - Florida Bay

5. Bill and Ron enjoying Key Largo after finishing

6. Final Finishers sailing to the finish on Saturday.

 And the still photos:

Bill rowing against wind and tide.

(wind skips over water surface and can't be seen in the channels).

Recovering from one stroke and ready to go again.

Current can be seen behind Twisy Mile channel marker - all were unlit.

Finally the wind frees a bit, and we race through the channels to Key Largo!
